15 Days Kenya and Uganda Safari This Kenya and Uganda safari is focusing on Amboseli, Nakuru and Masai Mara, areas known for the best game and wildlife Safaris in Kenya on the Uganda side we are featuring Lake Mburo, Bwindi Gorilla Park, Queen Elizabeth and Kibale home to the primates of Africa thus Gorilla trekking in and Chimpanzee trekking are the key focuses for Uganda. Some afternoon in Uganda there will be great exposure to schools of hippos as we take a launch cruise along the amazing Kazinga channel and you will appreciate the scores of Hippos, Buffaloes, and Crocodiles close to the waterside as well as the rare Leopard prowling on a lucky day. There is a variety of bird species some of which are migrants from Northern Europe, pelicans Skimmers, Herons, Gulls, Commorants, Kingfishers and many other bird species along the Kazing channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park of Uganda

Our Kenya Uganda Safari leaves Nairobi and drive through the Athi and Kapiti Plains past the Kenya – Tanzania border town of Namanga to arrive in Amboseli in time for lunch and thereafter, enjoy an afternoon game drive of this park famous for its great herds of Elephant that graze on the swampy areas of the park during the day before retiring to the Mighty Mt. Kilimanjaro slopes in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge. FB
Our Kenya – Uganda safaris takes us to a full day in Amboseli with game drives (2 game drives, each of approximately 3 hours), all meals and overnight as above. FB
Leave after breakfast and drive via Nairobi (stopping for lunch) to Lake Nakuru National Park. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in this small game & bird-filled Park, famous for its population of flamingos, rhinos, leopards, lions, giraffes. Return to Lion Hill Lodge or camping at dusk for dinner and overnight. FB
After breakfast, continue across the floor of the Great Rift Valley past the Masai town of Narok to the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve – to many, the jewel and highlight of the safari expedition, by lunch time. Enjoy an afternoon game drive returning to Sarova Mara Camp or camping for dinner and overnight stay for two nights. FB

An early morning game drive in the Mara is followed by breakfast and thereafter, return to Nairobi to arrive by mid afternoon. Lunch enroute. Today our Kenya – Uganda safari takes us to Lake Mburo National Park stopover at the Equator for photography. Take a game drive/safari in search for the beautiful impalas, zebras, cape buffalos, elands, oribi and other ungulates, this is one of the most amazing National Parks in Uganda and nearest to the Capital City Kampala, Lake Mburo National Park is characterized with Savannahs which are mainly wooded, it has got a water eco-system making it a wonderful habits for a variety of game and birds, given your interest, our safari guides are all round and they take you to amazing and deeper appreciation of nature and the cultures of the people in our chosen destinations . It is your safari and a holiday while with Journeys Uganda, this morning, depending on how you will be feeling, we can take an early walking safari or game safari before our breakfast then start the drive Southwards to Bwindi Gorilla National Park, a game drive as we check out of the park will expose us to what we might have missed on the game safari as we entered the park on encounter new experiences on our safari in Uganda. Lunch en route as you pass through the Ankole region and see Ankole long horned cattle, bananas and coffee plantations and typical Ugandan farms. Dinner and two overnight stays at Gorilla Resort – Gorilla Forest Camp (L) Lake Kitandara – Buhoma Lodge (M) or Buhoma community Rest Camp(B). FB
After a morning breakfast we head to the Park Headquarters to meet our ranger guides for the day and begin the long awaited gorilla tracking experience, the rangers who are experienced guides and trackers will accompany the gorilla tracking party the trek into the dense rain forest on the mountain slopes. The adventure, through dense foliage and up steep climbs, is abundantly rewarded with the lifetime experience of viewing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat and close quarters and many a times some of our safari clients have been touched by these gentle giants as there are opportunities of being within meters of these great apes, sharing in their daily lives and experiencing their day-to-day life living activities. Mountain gorillas are extremely rare with only an
estimated 800 remaining in the wild and the world. This is a life time experience you will not forget! Depending on the luck of the day on the gorilla trek, you will later return to your lodge, depending on the energy level and our will, either relax and edit our photos or take a guided afternoon forest or community walk and learn more about the people near the gorillas or the forest where the gorillas live and other primates not forgetting the mammals that inhabit the Bwindi Impenetrable forest. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and depending on the seasonal Ishasha road, we drive via the southern sector of the park, this is one of the most beautiful game drives you can ever do with in Uganda, many herds of Topis are very present and this day lucky enough, we shall be seeing the tree climbing lions and the leopard an adaptation within the Southern sector of the park. Drive through the Switzerland of Africa as we transfer for dinner and over night at Jacana or Mweya Safari Lodge (L), Kingfisher Safari Resort (M) or Mweya Hotels (B) for two nights. FB
Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Have an early morning Game drive where you have an opportunity to view the massive Rwenzori as backdrop, which provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, cape buffalo, elephant, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob and bushbuck. In the after noon we’ll take a launch cruise along the amazing Kazinga channel and you will appreciate the scores of Hippos, Buffalos, and Crocodiles close to the waterside as well as the rare Leopard prowling. After a morning breakfast, transfer to Fort Portal through the countryside and pass traditional homesteads and farms, not leaving out the Hima cement industry. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled ‘Mountains of the Moon’. In the afternoon we shall visit the Toro kings palace (youngest kingdom in Uganda where Oyo hardly 4 years became a king. Dinner and overnight at Ndali – Primate Lodge (L), Mountains of the Moon Hotel (M) or Lake Nkuruba (B) for two nights. FB
After breakfast we visit Kibale Forest National Park, which is reputed to have the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and many others. After lunch we explore the Crater Lake region, which has many crater lakes. Later, sit back and relax as you let a traditional dancing group entertain you. FB
