This 2 days Uganda gorilla trekking safari will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to mountain gorillas, one of the world’s endangered species. This gorilla trekking safari is intended for visitors who have a passion for gorilla trekking but only have a short stay. Our 2 days Uganda gorilla trekking Safari will begin at Kampala’s Entebbe International Airport, or Kampala city and end there as well. However, you may request to start and terminate at Kigali Airport in Kigali city.
Day 1: Pick up from your hotel or Entebbe international Airport and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national Park
This 2 Days Uganda gorilla trekking Safari marks the start of your gorilla trekking safari in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will be picked up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe International Airport. This journey will take you to the southwest of Uganda, across the equator, and along the way, you will stop at Kayabwe Equator Point to see an amazing water experiment that demonstrates the forces at work where the two hemispheres separate. After that, continue travelling through the dotted savannah grasslands and the Ankole communities and farms with their long-horned cattle. After lunch at Mbarara City’s Igongo Cultural Centre, you will travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to check into the lodge you have reserved. There, you can unwind with dinner and spend the night there.

Day 2: Early morning gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and return to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport
Following an early breakfast, on your 2-days Uganda gorilla trekking safari,, load up your car with your packed lunch and bags, and head to the park information station for a briefing on gorilla trekking safety precautions before starting your guided mountain gorilla trekking activity. During your mountain gorilla trekking exercise, your ranger guide will provide you with knowledge concerning these mountain gorillas and other wildlife species, making your tour adventurous. This exercise of searching for these mountain gorillas in their natural habitat may take between 2 to 8 hours, depending on the location of your assigned gorilla family.
Other wildlife species that you might come across while trekking include Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Duikers, Bush Pigs, Forest Elephants, and a variety of bird species like the Rwenzori Batis, Grauer’s Broadbill, Black-faced Apalis, Equatorial Akalat, Yellow-eyed Black Flycatcher, Arch’s Robin-chat, Regal Sunbird, Many-colored Bushshrike, Bar-tailed Trogon, Black Bee-eater, and many more. After you have met your mountain gorilla family, you will have an hour to track, watch, and take pictures of these enormous mountain gorillas. After returning to the information centre to pick up your trekking certificates, enjoy your packed lunch, and head back to the hotel in Kampala or Entebbe International Airport in time to catch your return flight.
