Journeys Uganda has a solution for those who need to self-drive as long as they are 23 years old, hold a valid full driving license for more than 2 years, and have a valid international license. We, however, encourage our clients to take personal accident insurance inclusive of medical repatriation.
It’s important to note that in Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania we keep left; in Rwanda, Congo, and Burundi we keep right. Valid road licenses can be received from the Road Transport Office/revenue authority offices in big cities of the chosen East or Central African destination.
