On this 3-day budget gorilla trekking tour in Volcanoes National Park, upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by our safari driver guide, who will brief you about your 3-day safari in Rwanda. You will start on your journey to Rwanda’s only gorilla park, located in Ruhengeri northwestern part of the country. Upon arrival, you will check into your booked lodge, wait for dinner, and have an overnight stay.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Wake up early in the morning and head to the park headquarters, where you will meet all the trekkers of the day. The activity shall start with a briefing to enable trekkers to learn the rules and regulations of trekking. Groups are formed and given to armed ranger guides to lead them in the jungle, where they search for mountain gorillas. The search for mountain gorillas here takes 2 to 4 hours, and trekkers use several trekking trails, which allow them to meet other forest attractions. Once located, trekkers are given 1 hour to be around the mountain gorillas, which enables them to learn their habits and watch them play as they take photos. Return to the lodge for lunch, afternoon relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking—Drive to Kigali
On this 3-day budget gorilla trekking tour in Volcanoes National Park, rise early in the morning, check out of the rooms with all your travel luggage, have breakfast, and get your packed lunch boxes. Your driver guide will transfer you to the park headquarters again, but for the golden monkey trekking this time. Just like mountain gorilla trekking, trekkers are taught the rules and regulations of trekking. Groups will be led by armed ranger guides who know the best trails to use and locate the primates. Once found, you will be given 1 hour to be around them, and this shall give you an opportunity to learn about their behaviors and watch them carry out daily activities as you take photos and record videos. Return to the starting point, meet your driver guide, and start your journey to Kigali.
