4 Days Birdwatching Tour in Kibale Forest

4 Days Birdwatching Tour in Kibale Forest takes you to Kibale Forest National Park, which is found in Uganda’s southwest region. The park is home to over 351 species of trees, with tree heights of up to 55 metres and ages exceeding 200 years. In addition to observing birds, the park offers a variety of other activities like chimpanzee trekking, guided nature excursions, and encounters with the locals. More than 375 bird species may be found in the park; six (6) of these species, including the Dusky Crimsoning, Black-capped, Collared, Blue-headed, Purple-breasted, and Red-faced Woodland Warbler, are native to the Albertine region.

The best times to go bird watching in Kibale Forest National Park are from March to May and from September to November, but you can schedule your 4-day birding tour at any time of year. The ideal times to go birdwatching are from June to September, when there is a plentiful supply of food and prolific fruiting. Many birds are attracted to this time of year because they are constantly in breeding plumage. From November to April, migratory birds can be seen in Kibale.

The park receives little rainfall from December to February and June to July, but expect severe rains from March to May and September to November. These storms may cause delays owing to inaccessible roads and hazardous hiking routes, which will cut into your time for bird watching.
