Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be greeted and welcomed by a Journeys Uganda representative, who will drive you to your hotel for relaxation and check-in. Dinner and overnight at Jet Villas
Day 2: Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
On this day of the 5-day Golden Monkey Tracking and Batwa Experience in Uganda, your driver guide will take you to Kisoro, Uganda, which is located at the foot of the Virunga Volcanoes, this morning after breakfast. In order to be ready for all the trekking and hiking that lies ahead, you will have the afternoon free.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking
On this third day of the 5-day Golden Monkey Tracking and Batwa Experience in Uganda, we get ready for a golden monkey trekking experience Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo share the Virunga volcanoes, home to golden monkeys. After an early breakfast today, you will depart from your accommodation and be driven by your driver guide to the briefing location where the golden monkey trekking expedition begins. As you hunt for the golden monkeys in the park, a ranger guide will greet you and provide you with information about what to expect. Following this brief introduction, you will begin your ascent on foot in pursuit of the golden monkeys. The trek can be steep in some places; therefore, having a porter on your journey is highly recommended. Enforcement officials will accompany you to provide assistance in the event that you come across wild buffaloes and elephants.
You will follow the golden monkeys as they walk about and feed because they are typically more active than the gorillas. Similar to gorilla trekking, you are only permitted to spend an hour with the golden monkeys before returning to your accommodation and starting point. In addition to other items, including fruits, plants, and occasionally ants, they adore eating bamboo shoots.
Day 4: Batwa Trail Experience
On day 4 of the 5-day Golden Monkey Tracking and Batwa Experience in Uganda, before the Virunga volcanoes were turned into national parks to aid in the conservation of gorillas, golden monkeys, and other wildlife and vegetation, the Batwa were an indigenous tribe that lived in and relied upon the forests for their subsistence.
