Gorilla Trekking Flights to Bwindi: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is among the few prime destinations in the world famous for mountain gorilla trekking. The sectors of Nkuringo, Rushaga, Ruhija and Buhoma in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park are home to these endangered mountain gorillas. Besides using road transport, the park is accessible by air from Kajjansi Airfield, Entebbe International Airport, which connects to Kisoro Airstrip in the southern part of the country, and Kihihi Airfield on the northern border of the park.
Kihihi Airstrip: Gorilla Trekking Flights to Bwindi
Kihihi Airstrip is mainly used by luxury visitors who want to trek mountain gorillas in the Buhoma area of the park towards the north. Flying is one of the quickest ways to go to the Buhoma sector because it takes 1:45. The flights leave twice or three times a day from Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi Airstrip, depending on the season. Road transport takes one hour and forty minutes from Kisoro airport to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

What is the best time to fly to Bwindi?

The dry months, which are June through September and December through February, are the ideal times of year to fly to Bwindi.
