Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from your booked hotel in Entebbe or Kampala

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport or at your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala, you will be picked up by our driver guide and then begin your drive to Murchison Falls National Park. On your way to Murchison Falls National Park, you will have an en route visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, located in Nakasongola district, where you will broaden your chances of seeing Africa’s big five mammals in their natural habitat, up close to their feet, and where you will have a memorable experience. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where visitors can observe white rhinos in their natural habitat. You will spend a maximum of an hour with the rhinos, and feel free to take as many photos as you want. Afterwards, enjoy your lunch at Kabalega Diner before heading to Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park—Morning game drive—Afternoon boat cruise on the River Nile—Evening game drive experience

On your 3-day Murchison Falls National Park Wildlife Tour, wake up early at 6 a.m. and begin your day with coffee, a snack, and a packed breakfast. Get ready for a morning game drive safari to see unique wildlife, with high chances of spotting active nocturnal animals and predators like lions and leopards as the day opens. You will most likely see giraffes, elephants, buffalo, various antelopes, and bird species that are common in Murchison Falls National Park. After your drive, enjoy a full breakfast and continue your safari until noon with insights from your guide. Then, relax at your lodge and have lunch before taking a 3-hour boat cruise on the Nile, where you can see both land and aquatic mammals such as hippos and antelopes, and reptiles like crocodiles and monitor lizards, among others. After that, you will return for an evening game drive before having your dinner. Here, you will have a chance to see nocturnal animals such as hyenas, civets, porcupines, and several cats, such as lions and leopards, as they prepare themselves for a hunt. After, retire and return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning game drive—Visit the top of the falls—Return to Kampala or Entebbe

Rise early for breakfast, and after, embark on an early morning game drive safari for unique wildlife encounters. The early start is the best time to have high chances of sighting several wildlife species, especially those that you would have missed the previous day. These animals include the nocturnal animals and the rare predators such as leopards, hyenas, lions, and jackals, as they are still active in the jungle before returning to their hideouts.

Except to see several other animal species, such as the Roth’s giraffes, buffalo, hippos, oribis, and others. After your game drive, visit the Murchison Falls to enjoy an exciting moment as you vividly witness the breathtaking views and the roaring sound of the falls as the Nile River forces itself into a narrow 7-meter-wide gorge, then drops into a 43-meter pool, creating a strong, thunderous sound that is so lovely and interesting. After this unforgettable experience, proceed with the drive and check out of the park back to Kampala to meet your return flight or at your booked hotel in Entebbe town.
