5 Days Gorillas in Mgahinga & Volcanoes. explore transformative journey through the lush landscapes of Mgahinga National Park and Volcanoes National Park on this 5-day adventure, delving deep into the heart of gorilla territory. Your expedition begins with a scenic drive through the picturesque countryside, immersing you in the beauty of Uganda and Rwanda. As you arrive at the parks, anticipation builds for the incredible encounters that lie ahead.

Over the course of five days, you’ll trek through dense forests and misty mountains, guided by experienced trackers who lead you to the natural habitats of the majestic mountain gorillas. Each day brings new opportunities for intimate wildlife encounters, as you observe these gentle giants in their natural environment

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival and transfer to Volcanoes national park in Rwanda on the slopes of the Virunga. The densely forested slopes are home of the mountain gorillas. Watch out for the beautiful lush green hills and the peaks of the Virunga.

Day 2: Parc National des Volcans gorilla trekking

After a briefing at the park headquarters in the morning, leave all the civilization behind as you take on the jungle in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. The encounter with these close cousins of man is memorable. We spend an hour with them and we return to the lodge in the evening for a relaxation.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking And Transfer To Uganda

Depending on your desire we could go for golden monkey trekking before continuing to Uganda’s Mgahinga gorilla national park one of the forests that make up the Virunga and home to other mountain gorillas.

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking

Once again assemble at the park headquarters for mountain gorilla trekking briefing. The trek is quite straining but highly rewarding as you get as close as 6 meters away from these endangered species. Watch the gorillas as they feed and tend to their young ones. The experience is exciting, amazing and overwhelming.

Day 5: Transfer To Rwanda Enroute

After breakfast checkout and return to Kigali where you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home or for your next destination.
