The 2-Day Flying Bwindi Gorilla Tour will take you to Uganda’s top gorilla destination, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, for an exceptional experience to encounter the world of mountain gorillas in their natural environment. The park is one of the leading mountain gorilla destinations, situated in the southwestern part of the country along the edge of the Albertine Rift. Research reveals that this primaeval dense forest is believed to have spanned parts of Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and DRC Congo.  It has a rich biodiversity with over 160 tree species, several ferns, and various butterflies. The park is home to the endangered mountain gorillas, with over 459 individuals, other unique primates such as chimpanzees, and several monkeys.

Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe Airport – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

This 2-day flying gorilla trekking tour will start with a warm welcome from our company guide/safari driver, who will brief you about your primate safari. You will get picked up from the airport at Entebbe International Airport or from your hotel around Entebbe or Kampala to go to either Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi Airfield to board your domestic flight to the mighty Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Upon arrival at Kihihi Airstrip, you will get a warm welcome from your safari guide, who will transfer you to your booked lodge. Have dinner and stay overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park—Mountain gorilla trekking—Return to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport

Rise early, have breakfast, enjoy your delicious breakfast, and drive to the park information center for the pre-tracking briefing about the rules and regulations of tracking mountain gorillas with your Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger guide, and after, begin your jungle walk for an unforgettable mountain gorilla trekking experience. This trek will take you through the most beautiful and adventurous forest that is home to a large number of various wildlife species, such as unique primates, big and small mammals, and many bird species.  Upon meeting mountain gorillas, you will spend one hour watching, following their moves, and taking memorable photos as you may want. After an hour of watching mountain gorillas, return to the park information centre to pick up your gorilla tracking certificate, enjoy your refreshment, snacks, and packed lunch, and then drive to Kihihi Airstrip to board your return flight back to Kajjansi Airstrip or Entebbe International Airport, and this will mark the end of your 2-day flying Bwindi gorilla tour.
