The 3-day Uganda Mgahinga Gorilla trekking safari from Kigali-Rwanda takes you to the home of mountain gorillas in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. This is an ideal alternative for tourists who wish to track mountain gorillas in Uganda but travel shorter distances. Kigali International Airport by road is 4 hours to Mgahinga Gorilla Park compared to the 10-hour journey from Kampala/Entebbe Airport in Uganda. This also saves you from getting a gorilla permit in Rwanda, which is more expensive than a gorilla permit in Uganda, giving you the advantage of having the same safari package but cheaper. Currently, in Uganda, a gorilla trekking permit per trek costs US$700 per person, compared to that in Rwanda, which costs US$1,500 per person per trek. Hence, the only option is to get the best adorable experience at a fair cost.

Such species on a lucky day may include several bird species, black and white colobus monkeys, golden monkeys, vervet monkeys, and many others. After this magical experience with mountain gorillas in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, return to the park information centre (headquarters) to receive your certificate of recognition, have some refreshments, meet your safari guide, and drive back to your lodge for lunch.
