Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Kampala-Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park-Visit the twin crater Lakes
On your 3-day safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda, you will be picked at precisely 7:00 a.m. on this day from your Kampala home or hotel to begin your trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will stop at the Uganda Equator line at Kayabwe your route to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This line is thought to divide the world into its northern and southern hemispheres.
You can observe the water experiment at the Equator landmark, which demonstrates how forces behave differently on opposite sides of the earth and establishes the distinction between the two hemispheres. For instance, water descends from the funnel in a clockwise manner in the northern hemisphere and an anticlockwise manner in the southern hemisphere. Here, the light rises and sets quickly, and the year-round weather and temperatures are often the same. Take memorial pictures at the Equator landmark by placing one foot in the southern and one in the northern hemispheres. This will allow you to get a picture of yourself simultaneously standing on both sides of the globe.
You will have the opportunity to determine whether the claim that standing at the equator reduces your body weight by roughly 3 kg is true or not. Drink some coffee after the water experiment, and then continue on to the Igongo Cultural Centre in Mbarara City for some refreshments, lunch, and a tour of the museum. This cultural heritage will transport you back centuries into Ugandan culture and lifestyle. Afterward, continue on to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will encounter some wildlife species like Elephants, Kobs and several birds. Before evening, check into your reserved lodge, freshen up, and then take some time to explore the stunning twin lakes that cannot be missed.
Among Queen Elizabeth National Park’s most picturesque lakes in Uganda are the twin lakes, Lake Katinda and Lake Mirambi. It is thought that Mirambi is a masculine lake and Katinda is a female lake. There are no other lakes like these. Take in Uganda’s breathtaking scenery as you stand on the banks of these interwoven lakes. Return to your resort for dinner and an overnight stay following the twin lake tour.

Day 2: Queen Elizabeth National Park-Morning drive safari-afternoon boat cruise along Kazinga Channel-evening game drive
Get up early on your 3-day safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park Uganda, take breakfast, and make your way to the park by 6:30 am for a wildlife sighting game drive. This will give you the opportunity to see nocturnal animals and hunters, such as lions, leopards, Elephants, spotted hyenas, genets, civets, and serval cats, among others, before they head back to their hiding places. It is a given that you will see caped buffaloes, elephants, various antelope species (Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Jackson Hartebeest, etc.), several warthogs, some primates (Olive Baboons, Vervet monkeys, etc.), and a large number of birds during your early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The main objective will be to locate the top wildlife species, including the African lion. Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of Uganda’s savannah national parks, where you can come across lions in their natural habitat. Because of the large number of other animals that lion’s prey on, the park’s lion population has a variety of food sources that draw lions to the area.
Following a more than 4-hour game drive through the park, take a break, have lunch, and then depart for your 2-hour boat cruise safari along the Kazinga Channel. This is an excellent chance to see a variety of wildlife up close to your boat along Kazinga Channel, including monitor lizards, Elephants, Hippopotamuses, huge Nile crocodiles, buffaloes along the channel’s edge, cormorants, pink-backed Pelicans, Saddle-billed storks, African Skimmers, Goliath herons, and many more. This is the finest location to see many of the park’s bird species if you love birds.
Following your 5:00 p.m. boat cruise safari, you will head back to the Kasenyi Plains to seek out more mammals. Since wildlife species such as big cats and other park predators are most active in the evening, you will mostly be looking for lions, spotted hyenas, leopards, and other cats. Return by car to your lodging for dinner and the night.
Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kalinzu Chimpanzee tracking Safari, Return to your residence / hotel in Kampala / Entebbe Airport
Early in the morning on your 3 safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda, prepare your belongings for travel, have breakfast, and head to the head office of Kalinzu Forest Reserve. There, a local guide will greet you warmly, give you a briefing on tracking chimpanzees, and let you go on a forest walk to search for chimpanzees and other primates. With more than 50 habituated chimpanzees for visitor tracking, Kalinzu woodland Reserve is the second-best woodland for chimpanzee experiences.
In addition, over 380 different species of primates, including Blue, Red-tailed, L’hoest, and Olive Baboons, as well as approximately 261 butterfly species, 98 moth species, reptiles, and flowers, may be seen while monitoring chimpanzees. It is unknown how long it takes to track chimpanzees in the Kalinzu Forest Reserve, but it might take anything from one to four hours depending on where they are. Once you find them, you can spend up to an hour with them, and are free to take as many pictures as you like.
Following your encounter with the chimpanzees, head back to the forest offices for a bottle of water to rehydrate. Then, resume your drive to Entebbe or Entebbe International Airport, making a stop at the Igongo Cultural Museum for lunch on the way. Finally, head straight to Entebbe International Airport to get ready for your return flight. Your three-day safari through Uganda will come to a conclusion here at Queen Elizabeth.
