You can also anticipate experiencing Uganda’s unique culture and the friendly welcome of its people. On this day-long tour, you can discover Kampala and the main tourist attractions, the majority of which are focused on the city’s political, cultural, and religious past.

Following an early breakfast, our tour guide will come and pick you from your lodge or hotel. From there, you will start your Kampala City Tour, which is fantastic and unlike any other Uganda safari. These are the websites that need to be visited. These include, among others, Namugongo Shrine, Baha’i Temple, Uganda Museum, Kabaka’s Palace, Kabaka’s Lake, the Catholic Cathedral of Rubaga, and Namirembe Cathedral, all of which await your visit.

Uganda’s museum and Kampala City Tour Adventure

Experience the nation’s natural heritage, art, and history at the National Museum, where you can get up close and personal with historical artefacts, musical instruments, historical, dance, and ethnological displays, libraries, archives, gift shops, and cultural performances. There will also be a reproduction of the throne of the ancient Buganda kingdom, musical instruments, natural resources such minerals and agricultural products, and other unique artefacts and exhibitions.

Namirembe cathedral

When you travel through Uganda, you should stop at this doom, which was formerly a sizable cathedral made of grass thatched roofs and was constructed in 1903 by artisans from the Baganda Kingdom. It was eventually destroyed by fire or struck by lightning and replaced with the current doom. This church is a part of the Church of Uganda, yet it is Anglican. Unlike in the West, most Anglican churches in Uganda are known to be highly evangelical. This stunning building, perched on a hill overlooking Kampala Central, provides both domestic and foreign guests with an amazing outlook.

Rubaga Catholic Cathedral and Kampala City Tour Adventure

Like Namirembe Cathedral, the oldest Catholic cathedral in Uganda, it is a sprawling structure that houses multiple church services and is surrounded by lovely trees and flowers. It also has a view of the city. Additionally, it is perched above a hill with a breathtaking view of the magnificent cathedral building, offering a great perspective over Kampala, the capital of Uganda.

Bahai Temple

With its breathtaking architecture and tranquil landscapes, Uganda is a top tour and safari destination for many religious tourists. This is the only Baha’i Temple in Africa. The location is above Kikaaya, a hill that provides a view of Kampala. There are many lovely trees, most of which are fruit trees, as well as flowers growing in the park-like setting. The grass is like a green carpet, and there are well-kept, well marked trails that lead to the dome. This park-like setting draws a lot of individuals who come here to spend quality time with each other as couples or to just sit on the grass and enjoy a tranquil moment.

Namugongo Martyrs Shrine and Kampala City Tour Adventure

This memorial site marks the location of the formal burning of ashes of 22 Catholic young men and martyrs who rebelled against Kabaka Mwanga’s edict for them to cease worshipping the missionaries’ fruitless attempts to proclaim the God of heaven. Every year on June 3rd, the Catholic Church and its Anglican counterpart gather here from all across Africa, the majority travelling here on foot, to celebrate this day in honour of their holy heroes. There is a wheel here that believers say was created by supernatural or divine force, and they take a lot of holy water from it to receive divine healing. The temple of worship here has distinctive architecture and is a wonderful site to visit. This location is a must-see!

Kabaka’s palace at Bulange

Following Kabaka’s Palace at Bulange, explore the grand architectural design of the Buganda Kingdom’s throne. The Kabakas of Buganda used it as a ceremonial palace, where a new, contemporary home called “Tweekobe” was constructed. This palace, which is surrounded by a ring fence spanning about a thousand acres, is perched on a hilltop overlooking Kampala. The torture rooms where Idi Amin used to subject anyone he thought posed a political threat are still in existence.

Kabaka’s lake and Kampala City Tour Adventure

This largest artificial lake in Africa was created by Kabaka Mwanga and was intended to link to Lake Victoria as a means of escape for the Kabaka in the event of a throne attack. However, the project was abandoned and the lake now serves only as a royal lake close to the palace, providing a haven for a few birds and a popular spot for leisure and fishing.
