4 Days Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Safari: The tour takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a tropical rain forest in south-western Uganda, for mountain gorilla tracking. Approximately half of the world’s remaining population of mountain gorillas is found in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Following your gorilla trekking adventure, the tour leads you to Lake Mburo National Park, a savanna haven of a park, on the western highway that links Kampala with the other western Ugandan national parks. Unusual fauna found in Lake Mburo National Park includes zebras, giraffes, elands, hippos, buffaloes, warthogs, oribi, Defassa Waterbucks, and Reedbucks.
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On your 4 days gorilla trekking and wildlife safari, you will be picked up from your hotel in the morning and drive west and southwards to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is home to the critically endangered mountain gorillas. Before continuing the picturesque trip with views of verdant plantations and hills, you will stop for lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre in Mbarara. After lunch, you will proceed with the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will have dinner and stay overnight at Buhoma Haven Lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking and Nature community walk on your 4 Days Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Safari
Tracking the incredible giants will be your memorable task on this day. Get briefed on the dos and don’ts when interacting with the animals by going to the park headquarters in the morning. You will be walking on narrow, slick paths as you delve into the forest for the hiking experience. Walking a gorilla might take anywhere from two to six hours, depending on its movements. After spending up to an hour up close and personal with the gorillas, head back to your hotel for lunch and some downtime. The Batwa community will be the destination of your evening community walk, where you will enjoy entertainment and discover more about their distinctive way of life. Back to the motel for dinner and the night.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park on your 4 days gorilla trekking and Wildlife Safari
You will leave early in the morning for Lake Mburo National Park, where you will take a canoe cruise on the lake and go on a game drive to see animals like hippos, crocodiles, zebras, impalas, and antelopes. You will also see a variety of bird species, including African Finfoot, African Skimmer, Goliath Heron, Red-faced Barbe Giant Kingfisher, African Jacana, and the uncommon Handsome Spurfowl (Francolin), among others.
Day 4: Game Drive and transfer to Kampala.
On your 4 days gorilla trekking and wildlife safari, following breakfast in the morning, you will embark on a guided nature walk where you will get to see the amazing typography of the park and the natural world. After that, you will go on game drives as you depart the park and return to Kampala. Visit the Equator for photo opportunities and African craft stores for retail therapy. If your flight is on time, you will be taken to Entebbe airport for departure, or you will check in at your Kampala hotel.
