Detailed Itinerary of our 9-day Uganda Wildlife Adventure

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival for the 9-day Uganda Gorilla Adventure. Meet and greet, Transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Jet villas

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After being picked up from the hotel in the morning, you will have a picturesque journey to Murchison Falls National Park, which will take you by the well-known Luweero triangle. The Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is open for visits before the River Kafu bridge. We can choose to have lunch just after our Rhino trek or move on to Masindi and then continue with our safari to Murchison. Travelling to the summit of the falls, you will be rewarded with an amazing spectacle of the powerful Nile forcing its way through a narrow gauge and descending inot the ever widening formerly 43 metres onto fluorescent-forming rocks on day two of our 9-day Uganda Wildlife Adventure. Dinner and overnight stay at Kabalega Wilderness Lodge.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

You will rise early in the morning to go on a morning game drive, allowing you to see the predators and early risers before they head back to their hiding spots. See other game as buffalo, hyenas, lions, leopards, giraffes, elephants, Side Striped Jackal together with a collection of antelopes including but not limited to Jackson’s Hartebeest,  Bushbucks, Bohor Reedbuck, Warthog Uganda Kob, Waterbuck and many other animals. Go back to the hotel to unwind. You’ll head north of the mighty River for the boat ride in the afternoon. Along with hippos, crocodiles, and several other reptiles, you will be treated to a breathtaking view of waterfowl and other species. Dinner and overnight at Kabalega Wilderness Lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

You will travel through a picturesque area to reach the lovely city of Fort Portal early in the evening. lots to learn today about Uganda and how the indigenous people go about their day today lives, farming methods, the nature of houses, visiting a local school on the way will be a very big highlight of the day. Stopovers at the different tea plantations and learning how it is harvested and processed is always amazing, stopping over at near Kyenjojo town to learn how martyrdom took place in Uganda at the Katoosa catholic church is a great in take of Uganda and how the seed of Christianity was sowed.  Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Lodge

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and nature walk

On day 5 of our 9-day Uganda Wildlife Adventure, you will go to Kibale Forest National Park early in the morning, where you will enter the forest to look for chimpanzees. Along with many other animals, you will encounter baboons, vervet monkeys, and Red colobus, L’Hoest’s monkeys. Take in the sight of the monkeys having fun in the fruit-bearing trees. Along with other animals, elephants will be visible on lucky days. the biggest highlight will be seeing the chimpanzees as the go about the daily business with amazing pant hooting calls and buttress roots drumming, after this you will get back to the lodge for a hot lunch and later visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary in the afternoon or do a community walk around the village learning how coffee is processed, weaving and dancing with the women and concluding it with a banana day in company of the funny and interesting banana man, where you may view a variety of animal and bird species. You will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

On this day of our 9-day Uganda Wildlife Adventure, you will take a game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park in the morning, where you can observe antelopes, buffalo, elephants, and many other species of wildlife. Arrive early enough to take advantage of the afternoon boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, where you will see  schools of hippos, crocodiles, and other wildlife that comes to cool off along the channel banks, along with an assortment of birds like Kingfishers, Storks, Herons, Pelican, Ducks, Spoonbills, Egrets, Gulls, Terns, Eagles, Sandpipers, Plovers, Thick-knees, and others. You shall be transferred to Buffalo Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Game Drive and transfer to Bwindi

You are going to go on a wildlife drive in the Ishasha region after eating an early breakfast, where you can see lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, and many bird species. The Ishasha area is home to lions that climb trees. Proceed towards Bwindi, arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Ride 4 a Woman

Day 8: Gorilla tracking Adventure

This is the day of our 9-day Uganda Wildlife Adventure that will live in memory, tracking the incredible modest titans. In the morning, report to the park headquarters for a briefing on appropriate behaviour around the gorillas. For the trekking adventure, head into the forest and follow the narrow, treacherous paths. Depending on the gorilla’s movements, trekking could take two to six hours. After spending no more than an hour up close with the gorillas, head back to your accommodation for lunch and relaxation. You will go on a community walk to the Batwa village in the evening, where you will be entertained and educated about their distinctive culture. Dinner and Overnight stay at Ride 4 a Woman.

Day 9: Departure

Following breakfast in the morning, you will start the journey back to Kampala, stopping along the way for lunch, equator photography, and local African craft markets. Arrive in Kampala in the evening, and if the aircraft is on time, proceed to your hotel or the airport for your departure. That will mark the end of our 9-day Uganda Wildlife Adventure.
