Day 1: Arrival at Kigali International Airport in Kigali City—Drive to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival, our company representative will warmly welcome you at the airport and drive you to Volcanoes National Park. As you travel through Rwanda, you will get introduced to the picturesque landscapes of the “land of a thousand hills,” featuring lush greenery. Timeliness is essential for settling into your lodge for overnight accommodations and dinner.

Day 2: Trekking mountain gorillas—Afternoon Cultural Experience
Start your day with breakfast and a packed lunch before heading out for your gorilla trekking experience. Gorillas are a major draw in 21st-century tourism. After breakfast, you will be transported to the park headquarters for a briefing on the rules and regulations. Following this, a guided forest walk with ranger guides and porters will commence in search of the mountain gorillas in their natural habitats.
The guided forest walk lasts 4-5 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location and movements. While the terrain can be challenging, especially in the rainy season, the experience is thrilling and rewarding. Visitors will spend one hour observing the mountain gorillas’ behavior, including their feeding and playing activities. After this amazing and exciting experience, have your lunch before returning to the hotel for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Kivu for relaxation

Kibuye offers stunning activities like canoeing and swimming, while Gisenyi features Belgian-era architecture. Following gorilla tracking in Volcanoes National Park, you will take a boat cruise on the lake to observe diverse bird species and wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your hotel.
